  • Murphy's law raises the possibility that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.  This can also be the case in some unfortunate Linux on System z & z/VM proof of concepts or badly configured production systems. After being called into a number of these situations, on different continents, over the last couple of months, the speaker has a lot of experience handling these problems.  Unlike previous sessions that highlight successes, this one will present stories from the "war zone" and the battle to get these projects back on track. The presentation will be from the systems programmer's point of view, but will also include some aspects of the project manager's view as well.

Tracks: Linux Systems Management, The Dark Side of Virtualization and z/VM Systems Programming
