  • How do we deliver security and compliance services to the customers of our enterprise data centers?  Who are those customers?  How are the security and compliance services that our enterprise data centers are capable of offering perceived by the relevant stakeholders?  In order to effectively answer these questions, we need to make sure we understand the current state of our delivery of our services, which includes not only what we know and believe, but also what other stakeholders in our enterprise data centers believe and expect.

We all must effectively interact with and provide security and compliance services to the entire range of business processes that currently rely upon or are envisioning relying upon our enterprise data centers.  To be truly successful, especially in operations that include IBM mainframe technologies, we need to be proactively and enthusiastically reaching out to and working with both the internal and external customers and other stakeholders who are working with today’s and tomorrow’s clouds, mobile computing, the variety of application architectures being developed and envisioned, and the endless calls to “modernize” and consolidate.

We have the opportunity to be strategic key players and architects in the provision of the services provided by our enterprise data centers.  This presentation will lay out a vision and strategy of how we take our accomplishments of the past, the technologies we have available, and our positions in our enterprise data centers and organizations and take the lead in how both security and compliance services are leveraged as a value-added, in fact, value creating, component of the business processes we are a part of.
