Configuration and Use of z/VM Dirmaint

Working with the z/VM user directory can be a daunting task, especially for a new z/VM user.  Problems are typically faced when allocating minidisk space.  There are potential pitfalls for incorrectly specifying allocation values that can lead to disaster.  A directory manager can solve problems of this nature by automating the allocation of disk space and making sure there are no disk overlaps.

 

 

This session will show how to set up z/VM's Dirmaint directory manager and demonstrate how to use it effectively.
