  • CICS Transaction Gateway (CICS TG) is now in use in over a thousand
    customer environments, with successful deployments across every major
    industry, CICS TG is the strategic flexible, high-performing,
    security-rich, and scalable method of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
    access to CICS servers. Running on IBM z/OS® and Microsoft Windows?,
    UNIX?, and Linux, CICS TG not only provides connectivity to CICS for JEE
    certified application servers, but also allows a wide range of application
    platforms to integrate with CICS including Java? applications, servlets,
    and applets, Microsoft .NET framework applications, C, and COBOL
    applications. The newest release of CICS TG, version 8.1, became available
    in Fall 2011 and introduces enhanced high-availability support, IT
    simplification, and Open platform integration.
