  • This session looks at securing CICS Web Services. It considers transport layer security (SSL) and message based security using the WS-Security protocol. Trust based identity propagation scenarios are considered, including the use of WebSphere DataPower appliances for credential mapping. The z/OS ICRX identity token is introduced, and the advantages it offers with CICS TS V4 are discussed. The performance implications of the major security options are compared.
