Biographical Sketch: Marcel Mitran, IBM Software Group, IBM Toronto Laboratory, 8200 Warden Avenue, Markham, Ontario Canada L6G 1C7. (mmitran@ca.ibm.com) Mr. Mitran is a Senior Technical Staff Member with IBM’s compiler team, where he has spent ten years developing dynamic and static compilation technology for System z. With over 26 patents filed, Mr. Mitran is an IBM Master Inventor. Prior to joining IBM in 2001, Mr. Mitran received his M. Eng. for research he did on active vision systems at McGill’s Centre for Intelligent Machines.
