Biographical Sketch: As Oracle’s Senior Director, Storage, Francis develops storage strategies in support of enterprise customers and acts as a focal point for customer input to storage engineering and marketing for current and future product development. Prior to joining Oracle (previously Sun Microsystems), he was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Crosswalk, which developed a storage grid system for high performance computing environments. Francis has more than three decades of experience in IT and the data storage industry. Francis was with StorageTek for over 20 years, where he served in various roles including; corporate vice president and general manager of the Automated Tape Solutions business group, chief strategist for the company, disk and tape product marketing, corporate strategic planning, and multiple management positions within the information systems organization.
