Better Batch: Exploiting New Functions to Improve Batch Processing

New versions of z/OS and JES2 have provided improved controls for managing batch workloads. This session will review many of these enhancements which have the potential to improved batch processing and throughput. Changes in dispatching of batch as well as new enhancement in RMF and SMF will be covered. Primarily aimed at JES2 installations, many of the new z/OS features will be of benefit to all z/OS shops. The presentation will also cover a series of benchmarks which made use of these new capabilities.
