Want to reduce backup times?   Want to encrypt your tape image data going off-site?   Want a better, more efficient way of handling Disaster Recovery?

SecureAgent provides an end-to-end backup and recovery solution for  z/OS, z/TPF, z/VM and z/VSE (as well as for open systems and for the AS/400 environment).   The Secure Data Solution (SDS) is a virtual tape system that allows organizations to cost-effectively write and retrieve virtual tape images both locally and at a remote location(s).   The SDS appears as tape devices to the host, for example, as 3480, 3490 or 3590 tape drives.   The SDS provides mainframe connectivity via ESCON or FICON and open systems/AS400 connectivity via FC/SCSI, and seamlessly integrates to your environment, whether working with tape management systems such as RMM, CA-1, Dynam-T, EPIC or even without a tape management system.   All tape images are compressed and encrypted, so data security is provided and the need for handling real physical tape can be eliminated.  A single operator can remotely manage the entire Secure Data Solution (all sites) including having the master console for the host to IPL at the remote site once a restore has been done. Moving to the Secure Data Solution is extremely easy and cost-effective, especially when utilizing the solution for DR activities, data center relocations, and migration from physical tape.

Please join us to hear how the SDS has benefited some of your peers  at SHARE, and please visit us in our exhibit hall booth #416.
