  • 09829 - Binder Programming: What the zOS Linkage Editor Can Do for You (337.6 kB)
  • In addition to normal batch, TSO and UNIX link-editing tasks, the Binder includes several sets of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). With them you can do almost anything imaginable, including digging out useful information about a program that's already been link-edited.

We will describe the program model for both load modules and program objects and then describe how the APIs operate against that model. We'll examine several coding samples to show you how.
