Rational Developer for System z (RDz) accelerates the development of Mainframe applications, including traditional COBOL, PL/I, C/C++, and Assembler applications, Web services, and XML-based interfaces linking to the Web. RDz uses industry standards to simplify the development of rich client interfaces, Web user interfaces, traditional terminal interfaces, and back-end, business logic deployable to CICS, IMS, DB2, Batch, UNIX System Services, and WebSphere transactional environments. RDz integrates with existing System z development processes, including problem determination and System z source management systems. This session will review the new features added to RDz V.8.0.1, a discussion of what's on the horizon, and will include a live demonstration.
