z/VM Scheduler Overview

This session will unearth some of the mystery behind the z/VM scheduler and dispatcher. The basics of deadline scheduling and eligible list formation will be covered. This foundation will allow you to know what parts of the scheduler where a healthy fear is good, and which parts you may tune without fear. Along with the scheduler structures, references to the various tuning commands and performance information will be illustrated.
