Biographical Sketch: Doug Barbian is a data storage specialist working for Oracle in Broomfield Colorado. His experience includes 24 years of storage implementations at StorageTek, Exabyte, Quantum and now Oracle. His current function is as the data deduplication developer for the mainframe Virtual Tape Library. He has worked on disk and tape storage architectures and also on high speed data acquisition machines in the medical field. Doug holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin and a ME from the University of Colorado.
