Biographical Sketch: James Chaplin is a MVS Systems Programmer with Base Technologies Inc, a small consulting firm, serving U.S Customs and Border Protection for the past 15 years. He continues to provide MVS System Programming Services, but moved into working with Linux on the mainframe for the past three years at Customs. In the past while at Customs, he also worked part time teaching computer programming (Java & C++) at an area community college. His current focus is on system security and system monitoring of Linux guests on a zVM platform.
