Biographical Sketch: John Tilling is a Senior Software Engineer working in the CICS Strategy and Planning group at the IBM Hursley Laboratory in the United Kingdom. He joined IBM in 1985 having graduated from York University with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He has 25+ years of experience developing CICS, working in data access components including file control, local DLI, CICS-DBCTL, and was responsible for restructuring the CICS-DB2 and CICS-MQ Attachment Facilities to exploit Open Transaction Environment (OTE). John is a regular speaker at IBM and User technical conferences and at customer briefings via the CICS Smart Seminar programme.
