Tivoli Flashcopy Manager Update and Demonstration

Many database administrators have turned to hardware snapshot techniques to deal with the overwhelming growth of backup data. Hardware snapshots can dramatically reduce the amount of time needed for daily backups and can dramatically reduce the time to recover. Tivoli Flashcopy Manager (FCM) is IBM's tool for generating application consistent hardware snapshots for backup of DB2, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL-Server databases. This session will provide a technical overview of the FCM functionality and will also include a live demo of FCM in the Exchange environment.
