Wednesday, March 2, 2011: 4:30 PM-5:30 PM
Room 202A (Anaheim Convention Center)
Speaker: Gary King (IBM Corporation)
Handouts
  • SHARE2011 LSPR and z196 Performance Brief.pdf (297.7 kB)
  • With the introduction of the zEnterprise processor, the LSPR has been significantly changed to be based on a measure of a workload's intensity of use of a processor's memory hierarchy.    This session will discuss the theory behind this new metric (Relative Nest Intensity) and its basis on data gathered using CPU MF.   Its application to capacity sizing will be illustrated by contrasting the performance of z10 and z196 servers.
