This session will start with a brief history of ten years of Linux onSystem z and continues with an overview of new features that are currently under development by IBM and the open source community. The presentation will address both System z-specific features and platform-independent developments which are relevant to Linux on System z. The session will attempt to give an impression of where we came from with Linux on System z, and where we are heading.
