IBM supplied utility DFH0STAT is an underutilized tool that can easily be utilized to assist the CICS performance analyst. It is sometimes called the "poor man's tuning tool". DFH0STAT in conjunction with the transaction STAT provide a series of reports that can be useful to a CICS performance analyst. The session covers those reports that can be used to identify potential problems. Specific key tuning areas are reviewed in detail. Focus will be on CICS TS 4.1.
Join us in this session as we learn about the DFH0STAT tool so we can all add it to our CICS performance and tuning toolbox. This is a entry level presentation of the reports produced by the STAT transaction.
