Biographical Sketch: Jim Yurek, Vanguard Integrity Professionals Biography Jim has 25+ years of information security, business recovery, audit and compliance experience working in the financial services and credit card industry in senior management roles. Having participated in over 100+ compliance audits during his career, Jim has the experience and expertise to identify gaps, remediate findings, develop supporting documentation and demonstrate compliance with policies and regulatory legislation. Jim’s recent assignments have targeted Payment Card Industry (PCI) readiness reviews and DISA STIG compliance. His PCI experience includes working as the PCI project manager for a national retail store, including performing RACF readiness reviews to assist Vanguard customers in preparing for their annual PCI assessment. Jim has completed the PCI DSS Standards Training Program and represents Vanguard at the annual PCI Security Standards Council community meetings as well as giving presentations on PCI to Vanguard customers and user groups. Jim is an alumnus of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, were he received his MS degree in computer science.
