Flexible Storage Management – A challenge that all Storage Professionals face today is doing more with less.   Less people, less budget and less resources.  That is why management tools for storage have become a necessity.  EMC’s z/OS Storage Manager (EzSM), Symmetrix Management Console (SMC) and Symmetrix Performance Analyzer assist in this area.  EzSM is a mainframe storage management tool that monitors and reports on mainframe storage from the operating systems perspective.  EzSM communicates with HSM, making several everyday tasks easier.  Symmetrix Management Console is a gui based product that looks at storage management from the array as well as the LPAR. Symmetrix Performance Analyzer (SPA) is a simple, intuitive, browser-based user interface for the purpose of historical trending and analysis of Symmetrix array performance data.
