IBM WebSphere Application Server stays on the leading edge of new internet technologies with the release of feature packs. An important technology as Web Applications grow more complex is OSGi, a system which facilitates modular packaging of applications. Another source of complexity is interfacing to disparate data sources, which JPA addresses. Increasingly batch processing involves the use of Java, and the Feature Pack for Modern Batch provides a batch runtime container within the WAS appserver. Come learn about the OSGi, JPA and Modern Batch feature packs.
