  • Web Services continue to be an important technology for IBM customers. Web Services are not only an important choice when Cloud computing is the most significant new paradigm of the last few years. In this session we’ll look at several useful libraries to help you write Java applications that make the most of it. We’ll start by invoking REST-based cloud services with Apache Wink and Apache Tuscany. Writing Java code that doesn’t lock you into a single vendor is crucial, so we’ll also take a look at APIs such as Simple Cloud and libcloud. To make the most of cloud computing, you’ll need to write elegant, simple Java applications that work with multiple cloud providers. This session will show you the way.
