Just as distributing computing evolved from the mainframe era, Cloud Computing is the next major wave that will supplement today's computing model. It is an emerging model where users can gain access to their applications from anywhere through their connected devices. The heart of it is the idea that services, either software or hardware, run or exist somewhere in the 'cloud', which can be an internal corporate network or the public Internet, a physical machine or a virtual machine.
