z/OS, z/OS UNIX & Linux Productivity Toolbag for Beginners

Do you have too much to do and not enough time to do it? Are you interested in discovering tricks and resources which will help you become more productive in your z/OS and Linux environments? Join us in this session as three new mainframers each from a different focus area, explain tools for you, the new mainframer, which can improve your productivity in both z/OS and Linux environments. The speakers will share their own experiences with Linux and z/OS as well as highlight various tools such as the IBM Library Center, IBM Lookat, and IBM Logrec Viewer. In this session, Unix utilities will be discussed from the z/OS perspective. Linux resources and tips will be covered as well! In addition, the speakers will discuss technical documentation such as white papers, Redbooks, web deliverables, links to useful information and many other resources. This introductory session is intended for those new to z/OS or new to Linux on System z, but experienced users might learn something as well or can share their own favorite tools.
