There are many different workload balancing technologies available for improving reliability and allowing for horizontal growth in a z/OS sysplex. In this session, we will look at optimizing workload balancing to z/OS applications using z/OS CS-based techonogies such as Sysplex Distributor, port sharing, and the Load Balancing Advisor. The session will introduce the latest enhancements to the z/OS Sysplex Distributor in z/OS V1R11. The session will also provide a positioning of the various types of approaches to z/OS Sysplex TCP connection load-balancing.
