On a busy z/OS LPAR the opportunity exists to lose SMF records. This session will present discoveries about how the SMF buffers are used and managed and conditions that can cause the loss of SMF data. The presenter will also discuss the actions that can be taken to minimize and potentially eliminate the loss of SMF data.
