Biographical Sketch: Marty started his professional career working in aerospace where he supported the development of liquid propelled rocket engines. He spent the next 42 years working for IBM, all of that time as technical support for mainframe sales. During that time Marty has held numerous titles including Consulting Systems Engineer and Certified Large Systems Sales Specialist. Marty specialized in mainframe performance management and capacity planning. In addition to presenting at numerous IBM and customer education events, Marty has also authored several Capacity Planning tools. These include the Tivoli Performance Modeler (zTPM) and the Server Utilization Resource Facility (SURF) tool. Marty currently works for Vicom Infinity supporting mainframe sales and new workload sales.
