Biographical Sketch: John joined IBM Poughkeepsie as a programmer in 1982. During his career he has held various technical and managerial positions, in System z hardware development, budget management, customer satisfaction, and project management. In his current position as Director, System z Product Portfolio Management, John manages the development and introduction of all new System z hardware products and operating system releases. Prior to assuming his current role, John was the product development team leader responsible for introduction of Multiprise 3000, z990 and the z10 EC products. He is both PMI and IBM project management certified
