  • Some Open Source Technologies Worth Knowing (1.9 MB)
  • There are many interesting and useful open source applications available, too many for anyone to be aware of. In this session I pick three technologies I've exploited and introduce them and their capabilities:

    - ZeroMQ - a lightweight messaging API which enables the creation of small-footprint, highly efficient message-based appplications;

    - CMISLIB - a standard's based API that enables programmatic manipulation of Content Management Systems like Alfresco;

    - Sones - One of the new NoSQL (or more correctly, no relational) databases that enables the management and interrogation of unstructured data.
