Delivering Real Business Value While Driving Down IT Costs
SHARE is a community of Enterprise IT professionals who are experts in mainframe systems and more. We realize that Enterprise IT needs to show a direct contribution to the bottom line through cost reduction, increased profitability and alignment with strategic objectives. It is not good enough to contain cost in an IT department. If we do not deliver more relevant value to our businesses, we will be nothing more than an overhead cost that must be managed and minimized. For 2011, SHARE is focusing on best practices and better uses of technology that illustrate how to maximize the return on your IT investment. Please share your experiences by submitting a session abstract for consideration so that we can all benefit from the cumulative experiences of the SHARE community.
SHARE is specifically seeking sessions on the following topics:
Using zEnterprise to deliver value while reducing the cost of managing your data center
Virtualization to make better use of existing resources
Virtualization as a cost-effective approach to delivering new services
Security and privacy practices that keep you compliant and that avoid compromise costs
Effective application technologies and architectures that deliver timely business solutions
Benefits of presenting include:
Developing interpersonal skills
Growing your professional network
Benchmarking your IT experiences with others
Receiving fresh ideas about solving issues like yours
Gaining recognition as an Enterprise IT professional
Helping others solve problems based on your experience
SHARE, it’s not an acronym; it’s what we do!
